
Cheddar Crackers
Cheddar Crackers are so simple to make and keep in your freezer. You can bake them as you need them; perfect for impromptu guests.

Ingredients
- 8 ouncesfinely grated sharp Cheddar
- 1 cupflour
- 4 tablespoonsunsalted butter (cut into 8 pieces)
- 1/2 teaspoonKosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoonseasoning salt
- 1 pinchcayenne pepper
- 4 tablespoonsice water
Instructions

Pulse the Cheddar, flour, butter, salt, and seasoning salt in a food processor fitted with a metal blade until mixture is even and grainy.

Add ice water and pulse until the dough comes together.

Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll each into a 1-inch diameter cylinder. Each cylinder should be 8 to 10 inches long. Wrap each one in plastic wrap.

Freeze for 15 minutes, remove from the freezer, and cut into 1/4-inch disks. Place the disks on a parchment-lined or silicone mat-lined baking sheet.

Bake at 350º F for 17 minutes, until golden brown. Cool before eating.
Chef's Notes
NOTES : If you aren't using them right away; freeze the saran wrapped cylinders.. Warm at room temperature for 10 minutes before slicing and bake according to the directions.
