Bonicelli Cooking Club ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Chef Laura Bonicelli from Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website at bonicellicookingclub.com, use our mobile application, or interact with any of our services.

By using our services, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
• Payment information: When you purchase a course, class, or private event, your payment details are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
• Class and event bookings: We collect information necessary to manage your enrollment in classes and private group events, including dietary preferences or restrictions you choose to share.
• Communications: When you contact us via email or our contact form, we collect the content of your message and your contact details.
• Newsletter subscriptions: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
• App data: If you use our mobile app, we collect data you choose to enter, including meal logs and color-coded ratings, water intake, weight, movement minutes, meditation and mindfulness journal entries, goals, community posts and comments, photos, and other content you create within the app. This data is stored securely and used solely to provide your tracking, progress, and community features.
• AI assistant conversations: Our website and app include Remi, an AI kitchen assistant. When you ask Remi a question, your message is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to generate a response. Your name, email, and account details are not included — only the text of your conversation. Chat history is not stored on our servers and is cleared when you close the chat screen. Please don't share sensitive personal information in your conversations with Remi.
• Push notifications: If you enable push notifications in the app, we collect a device token and your device platform (iOS or Android) to deliver reminders and updates. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or the app's Profile screen.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent on our site or app, referral sources, and general browsing patterns.
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language preferences.
• IP address: Used for security, fraud prevention, and to understand general geographic location of our visitors.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Supabase — User account management, database hosting, and authentication
• Sanity — Content management system for recipes, courses, and other editorial content
• Resend — Transactional and marketing email delivery
• Bunny.net — Video hosting and streaming for course content
• Anthropic — AI language model powering the Remi kitchen assistant (receives chat messages only, with no user identity attached)
• Expo — Push notification delivery for the mobile app
• Spoonacular — Recipe and nutrition data
• Captivate — Podcast hosting and distribution
• Vercel — Website hosting and deployment
• NextAuth — Authentication framework for secure sign-in
• Cloudflare Turnstile — To keep spam bots off my mailing list, my signup forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a quick, invisible check that confirms you're a real person. There's no puzzle to solve. 4. Affiliate Links and Product Recommendations

Our website and app may contain product recommendations and links to external retailers or services. Some of these links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content or recipe recommendations. We will always be transparent about affiliate partnerships.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. Your health and wellness tracking data (meals, weight, movement, mindfulness) is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for ad targeting. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: With the third-party services listed above, solely to the extent necessary for them to perform their functions on our behalf.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can also delete your account directly in the mobile app by going to Profile and tapping "Delete Account" at the bottom of the screen. This permanently removes your data, including tracking history, community posts, photos, and notification preferences. We keep a record of past payments only as required for tax and legal purposes. A confirmation email will be sent to your address on file.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
