Mark's Magical Margarita

My husband concocted "Mark's Magical Margarita" after a trip to Tulum where we had one of the best margaritas we had ever had on the beach at "Anna and Josés".

Ingredients

  • coarse salt
  • ice
  • 4 ouncestequila
  • 3 ouncesCointreau
  • 3 ouncesfreshly-squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ouncefreshly-squeezed orange juice -- more if desired

Instructions

    Salt the rims of two highball glasses by dipping in lime ice and then coarse salt. Fill the glasses with ice.

    Measure the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and orange juice into a drinker shaker filled with ice. Shake until the shaker is cole, and you start getting condensation on the outside.

    Pour the mixture into the classes over the ice. Garnish with lime wedges.
