Golden paprika mingles with warm cinnamon and earthy cumin in this aromatic Portuguese blend that transforms any simple grilled fish or roasted chicken into something extraordinary. I keep a jar by my stove for those moments when dinner needs a little magic.

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoonssweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoonblack peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoonchili powder
  • 1 teaspoondried oregano
  • 1 teaspoonground cumin
  • 1 teaspoonground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoondried ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoonground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoonground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoonground nutmeg
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoondried lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoondried orange zest

Instructions

    Grind all ingredients together in a spice grinder or with a mortar and pestle. Store in a sealed container for up to 4 months.
