Ingredients
- 3/4 cupfinely chopped yellow onion
- 1/3 cupwheat germ
- 1 teaspoonancho chili powder
- 1/2 teaspooon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoonKosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoonground red pepper
- 1 poundground turkey breast
Serving
- 4 slicescheddar cheese
- 4 slicesred onion
- 4 smallwhole grain hamburger bun

Heat an oven to 375°F.

Combine the onion, wheat germ, ancho chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and turkey in a large bowl until the ingredients. Keep mixing until you distribute the ingredients evenly.

Form the mixture into four patties and place them on a baking sheet. Chill the patties in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Spray a medium-sized, oven-proof skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat until hot. Add the burgers to the skillet and cook for 4 minutes without flipping until brown. Flip, and cook on the other side for an additional 4 minutes, until brown.

Put the skillet in the oven and bake the patties until they reach a temperature of 165°F, about 5 minutes or more.
