If you've ever wanted to learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch, cook a Spanish paella over an open flame, or master the art of a proper Italian braise, this is the place. Chef Laura Bonicelli has been teaching home cooks in Minneapolis for over 15 years, and her classes are built around one simple idea: the best way to learn is by doing.
Every class is hands-on. You won't sit and watch — you'll chop, sauté, roll, and taste alongside a small group of fellow food lovers. Classes are capped at 6–8 people, so you get real one-on-one guidance. And at the end of every class, you sit down together and enjoy the full meal you've just created.

Menus That Change with the Seasons
Chef Laura's class menus rotate throughout the year, drawing on what's fresh and in season at local Minneapolis farmers markets. You might find yourself making handmade ravioli with butternut squash in the fall, a vibrant Mediterranean spread in the summer, or a comforting Italian braise on a cold winter evening.
Popular class themes include:
- Italian classics — fresh pasta, risotto, osso buco, tiramisu
- Mediterranean favorites — Spanish paella, Greek mezze, Moroccan tagine
- Seasonal menus — spring asparagus tarts, summer grilling, fall harvest dinners
- Technique-focused — bread baking, knife skills, sauce foundations
No matter the theme, every class is designed for all skill levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced home cook looking to sharpen your skills, Chef Laura meets you where you are.
